Position Summary
Morskate Manufacturing is expanding in a big way! We're adding 90,000+ sq. ft. to our facility and investing in exciting new technology as we continue to grow. With this expansion comes an exciting opportunity - we're looking for a Stud Welder/Labourer to join our collaborative team. The successful individual will be working primarily on agriculture product and equipment, with other tasks assigned as new needs arise.

Responsibilities
- Perform stud welding duties, ability to set machine to properly shoot various sizes of studs
- Analyze and interpret assembly drawings and sketches to determine measurements, layouts and sequence of welding steps
- Grind and finish parts to specification
- Adhere finished product identification and product finishing colored tag as per drawing
- Inspect and test studs for proper weld to material
- Accurate use of tape measure, square, levels, angle finder and other measuring tools related to specific area (in both Metric & Imperial)
- Operate drill presses, grinders, power saws and other hand tools
- Labourer duties, assisting welders, cleaning, sweeping
- Safe operation of overhead crane for material movement as required

Requirements/Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, procedures and practices
- Knowledge of materials and strong understanding of metals
- Good with numbers in regards to accurate measurements, checking drawings, counting parts and weights
- Takes pride in final product and pays attention to details
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English clearly
- Possess problem solving skills

We offer competitive starting wages beginning at $24-32 per hour, with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, qualification and how well you align with the role. We appreciate dedication and commitment, and we conduct thorough performance reviews after three months and annually to acknowledge outstanding work and support employee growth.
