Blainville, QC | On-site | Permanent, full-time
Morson Canada is recruiting an Avionics Engineer on behalf of an aerospace client in the Blainville area. This is a permanent seat with real technical authority. What you will do
- Lead design and installation of navigation systems, including GPS, INS and radio navigation
- Troubleshoot navigation faults at aircraft level and drive them to root cause
- Own certification deliverables: engineering orders, AFM supplements, instructions for continued airworthiness, MEL entries, weight and balance
- Prepare and defend submissions to Transport Canada and act as a technical point of contact with the regulator
- Work across engineering, maintenance and production so solutions are both compliant and actually installable
- Mentor engineers and technicians on navigation systems and certification practice
What you bring
- Degree in engineering (avionics, electrical, aerospace or related)
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations, plus RTCA DO and ARINC standards and TSO approvals
- Hands-on navigation systems experience on certified aircraft
- Fluent French and English, spoken and written. This role is regulator facing in a francophone workplace
- Eligible to work in Canada
Nice to have
- P.Eng or OIQ membership, or eligibility to obtain it
- Delegate experience, or previous work supporting a Design Approval Organization
- Exposure across multiple aircraft types
On level: the client is open on seniority. If you are strong on navigation systems and certification, we would rather have the conversation than screen you out on years.
