Reporting to the Taproom Experience Manager, the Assistant Taproom Experience Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of our taproom with a focus on exceptional consumer experience, train and coach our taproom team, provide authentic tour & event experiences, and have a critical eye to optimize our retail and merchandise presents.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Working with the Taproom Manager to implement an aggressive Brewery sales plan to identify opportunities and develop an annual execution plan and budget.
- Follow and engage in strategies to promote a hassle-free, welcoming and engaging customer experience.
- Work with the Taproom Manager take a leading role in applying merchandizing techniques to ensure good visual and interactive approach to engage our customers. Provide feedback on sales trends, consumer interests, and planning.
- Organize and host brewery events, live music and social nights for the Taproom. Work with the Marketing events team to help facilitate large brewery events.
- Assist the Taproom Manager in coaching all taproom team members and providing meaningful development opportunities, including product knowledge and customer-centric service training. Actively participate in summer team interviews as needed.
- Help to foster a positive team-oriented working environment.
- Engage our taproom team in decisions and opportunities to improve our service. Motivate and charge the team to be friendly and customer-relationship driven with our great consumers.
- Develop a training manual, and train and shadow our new Team Members in customer services and delivery on expected experiences, sales, POS, product knowledge and inventory, line cleaning/draught maintenance, and tour experiences.
- Lead and facilitate tours and provide hands-on support to Taproom Team when feasible including inventory counts, event execution, and customer service. Revise and craft new tour experiences to keep interest with a fresh and creative approach.
- Oversee taproom communications such as texts, Muskoka Taproom email account and voicemail, ensuring emails and inquiries are responded to and resolved in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Assist the Taproom Manager in managing our POS system as required, including and not limited to any/all price changes, and help with daily retail sales/deposits as required. Provide coverage on online sales and orders fulfillment during vacations/absences.
- Work with the Taproom Manager to create and implement new processes and continuous improvement in the taproom as required.
- Maintain a safe workspace and actively participate in Joint Health and Safety meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of a post-secondary education in Business or Marketing preferred
- 2-3 years of retail or restaurant management experience
- Provide ability to prioritize daily duties for the team and adjusting easily is required.
- Experience using various technologies including MS office, ERP system, Transfer Orders, POS, Sales Order software.

- Available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events
