New Value Solutions (NVS), a national IT consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Delivery Lead / Data & Analytics Project Manager to support a major Canadian airline on a Finance initiative focused on developing a new predictive cost model. The Delivery Lead will coordinate a hybrid Canada/Mexico delivery team and work closely with Finance, Data Science, Digital, Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders to support forecasting, profitability planning, scenario analysis, and successful delivery of the predictive analytics solution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of a predictive cost modelling and analytics initiative.
- Coordinate a hybrid team of data scientists, data engineers, and machine learning professionals located in Canada and Mexico.
- Work closely with Finance, Data Science, Digital, Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders to establish priorities and maintain alignment.
- Coordinate data discovery, data preparation, predictive modelling, scenario analysis, validation, documentation, and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
- Facilitate requirements discussions and translate business objectives into clear delivery priorities for technical team members.
- Coordinate activities involving financial data from enterprise systems such as JDE, SQL Server, and other analytical data sources.
- Support the development of forecasting, profitability planning, and what-if analysis capabilities.
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify risks, constraints, data dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Facilitate regular status meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
- Coordinate model validation and business acceptance activities with Finance and technical stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation, decisions, assumptions, data dependencies, and technical deliverables are maintained throughout the engagement.
- Support appropriate governance, privacy, security, and access requirements associated with highly sensitive financial data.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and transition activities to enable long-term sustainability of the solution.
- Provide clear status reporting and escalation to client and delivery leadership.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience managing or leading data, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or technology delivery initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and technical specialists.
- Experience delivering data analytics, predictive modelling, forecasting, or AI/ML initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning delivery lifecycles.
- Experience working with Finance, financial analytics, forecasting, profitability, cost modelling, or similar business functions is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing data discovery, data readiness, modelling, validation, and implementation activities.
- Strong project planning, risk management, issue management, dependency management, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working within staff augmentation or client-integrated delivery models.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both senior business stakeholders and highly technical resources.
- Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience coordinating distributed, nearshore, or offshore delivery teams is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with SQL Server, JDE, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data environments is considered an advantage.
- Experience within aviation, transportation, financial services, or other data-intensive environments is considered an advantage.
