Are you interested in human resources, business systems, project coordination, and helping support large-scale organizational transformation?
As a
Human Capital Management Co-op, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the final phase of a major Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll system implementation at Nova Scotia Power.
During the
Winter 2027 Co-op term, you'll work alongside professionals in Human Resources, Payroll, Change Management, and project delivery teams while supporting the transition to a cloud-based HCM solution. You'll contribute to project coordination, training and change management activities, implementation readiness, and user support initiatives that help ensure a successful employee experience throughout this important transformation.
This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in
Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management or Organizational Change. You'll develop practical skills while gaining exposure to HR and payroll processes, enterprise technology implementations, stakeholder engagement, and project-based work in a dynamic business environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support ongoing project activities by assisting with the organization and maintenance of project plans, deadlines, deliverables, and project documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, presentations, knowledge-sharing sessions, training activities, and project workshops.
- Assist the Change Management team with the creation and maintenance of training materials, communications, job aids, and change management resources.
- Support project teams with reporting, issue tracking, meeting coordination, status updates, and implementation readiness activities.
- Create and maintain project documentation, trackers, reports, and supporting materials.
- Respond to basic user inquiries and escalate more complex issues to appropriate team members.
- Support hypercare activities during system go-live and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and other project initiatives as assigned.
Who You Are
We're looking for a motivated and organized student who is interested in human resources, business systems, and supporting meaningful organizational projects. You will be a strong candidate if you:
- Are currently enrolled in the second or third year of a bachelor's program in Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, and are participating in a co-op program.
- Have experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work.
- Enjoy collaborating with others while also being able to work independently.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Have an interest in Human Resources, Payroll, business systems, project coordination, or organizational change.
- Have experience supporting projects, administrative processes, or business initiatives (considered an asset).
