OHC is looking for a warm, professional and organized person to build strong relationships with
physicians and their teams across Oakville, Milton and Burlington, and to help establish our presence in
the region.
The role at a glance
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
- Pay: $23 to $25 per hour, based on experience
- Where you’ll work: fully in person, visiting physician clinics across Oakville, Milton and Burlington.
- Travel: travel for work; fixed car allowance, and fuel reimbursed at actuals.
- You’ll need: a valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
What you’ll do
- Be OHC’s main point of contact for family physicians, nurse practitioners and their teams in Oakville, Milton and Burlington.
- Visit clinics in person to introduce OHC, share information about our cardiac testing and cardiology consultation services, and keep providers up to date.
- Build lasting, trusted relationships with healthcare professionals across the community.
- Listen to what providers and their patients need, and bring that feedback back to our team.
- Plan your visits across the region so that offices in the area know who we are and how to reach us.
- Notice changes in how often clinics work with us, and follow up to understand why.
- Help resolve minor service questions on site, and pass anything unresolved to management.
- Keep simple records of your visits and conversations.
What we’re looking for
- A warm, confident communicator, both in person and in writing.
- Professional, discreet and diplomatic, especially with physicians and their staff.
- You take initiative and work well on your own, spending most of your day out in the community.
- Organized and reliable, able to plan your own week of visits.
- Familiar with basic medical terminology and the issues facing Ontario’s health care system.
- Experience in healthcare, client relations, community outreach or a similar role is an asset.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
