Role Description The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Orangeville, ON, responsible for leading high voltage and civil construction projects from initiation through completion. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality control to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time delivery. The Senior Project Manager coordinates with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, manages logistics for materials and equipment, and monitors field progress through regular site visits and inspections. Daily activities include updating project documentation, resolving issues, tracking milestones, and reporting status to leadership and stakeholders. The role also contributes to process improvements, supports safety initiatives, and mentors project team members.
Qualifications
- Project Management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Expeditor and Expediting experience to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Inspection skills for monitoring construction quality, safety compliance, and adherence to technical standards.
- Logistics Management capabilities for coordinating transportation, warehousing, and onsite material handling.
- Previous experience managing high voltage or utility infrastructure projects, preferably in ranges from 4.8kV to 115kV.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, safety regulations, and applicable codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management software and documentation tools.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in varying conditions and travel to project locations as required.
