OTSU Volunteer Program
OTSU is looking for student volunteers to help run some of our numerous programming and services throughout the school year. If you’re looking to get more involved on campus and have fun while doing so, consider volunteering with us!
Whether you’re a first-year student or graduating at the end of the school year, all Ontario Tech students are welcome to volunteer with us!

Typical Roles:
Students accepted in the volunteer program will be able to choose what roles they would like to do and what programs and services they would like to support. Here are some of the roles you can expect:
- Event Support: Assisting with set up, tear down and numerous roles to help run the event like greeting, check-in, crowd control, and information sharing
- Outreach Support: Spreading the word about the OTSU and our programs and services across campus. This can include tabling, handing out flyers and putting up posters.
- Administrative Support: OTSU has a lot of programs and services that require a lot of background This role would assist with various administrative duties such as tracking information, organizing assets, assembling kits, and other support that may be done on-campus or from home.
As an OTSU Volunteer, you will be expected to:
- Be a current Ontario Tech Student as of September 2026
- Attend the Volunteer Orientation and review training materials
- Commit to at least 15 hours throughout the school year (September to April) to add your experience to the Student Experience Record (SER)
- Be Flexible, Positive and can work in a Team Environment
