We are currently recruiting both Nursing Faculty in full-time and part-time capacities.
Position Summary
Nursing Faculty members are integral to the preparation of future registered nurses. Working within a collaborative academic environment, faculty are responsible for facilitating student learning, evaluating performance, mentoring future professionals, and contributing to the ongoing development and quality of the nursing program.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in nursing education, professional practice, and student success while fostering a culture of accountability, critical thinking, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
· Deliver high-quality instruction in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings as assigned.
· Design and facilitate meaningful learning experiences that support the achievement of course and program outcomes.
· Promote the development of clinical reasoning, professional judgment, evidence-informed practice, and ethical decision-making.
· Integrate current nursing standards, research, and best practices into teaching activities.
Student Support and Evaluation
· Assess and evaluate student performance using established courses and program outcomes.
· Provide timely feedback that supports academic growth and professional development.
· Mentor and guide students in achieving clinical and academic competencies.
· Maintain accurate records related to student progress, evaluations, and course activities.
Faculty and Program Responsibilities
· Participate in curriculum review, development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate with faculty colleagues, clinical partners, and healthcare stakeholders.
· Contribute to accreditation activities, program evaluation, and institutional initiatives.
· Maintain professional competence through ongoing scholarship, professional development, and engagement in nursing practice.
· Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and program planning activities.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in nursing, Nurse Practitioner designation, or equivalent graduate preparation.
· Candidates currently pursuing a master’s degree may be considered.
· Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of New Brunswick Nurses (CNBN).
· Minimum of two years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in teaching, preceptorship, staff development, or clinical education.
· Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with curriculum development and student assessment.
· Proficiency with educational technologies, learning management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
