Job Duties
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing for employees across multiple provinces, including salaried and hourly employees.
- Enter, review, and maintain payroll data in the payroll system and follow up on timesheet or payroll-related discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of payroll reports and provide payroll-related information as needed.
- Assist with T4, T4A, and RL-1 preparation, annual filings, and year-end payroll activities.
- Review payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable legislation.
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and RRSP plans.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits enrollment, and plan-related questions.
- Assist with new employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintaining employee records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee information.
- Support HR and payroll-related projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Payroll, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll, HR administration, accounting, or office administration is an asset.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and Canadian employment standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Korean is an asset.
- Willingness to learn payroll systems and pursue payroll-related knowledge or certification.
Salary Range
$50,000 - $60,000 CAD
