Job Location – Pickering / Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada. HYBRID
TYPE: Contract (12 months)
Work Model: Hybrid – 25% office; 100% on-site during outages
Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 AM–5 PM; overtime may be required
Travel: Occasional customer site visits/domestic travel
Security: Canadian Nuclear Security Clearance required/eligible
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules for a large, complex nuclear project. The role will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Manage schedules with 1,500+ activities/tasks, including logic, dependencies, and critical path.
- Track project progress against baselines, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Analyze schedule risks, delays, opportunities, and recovery actions.
- Support resource loading, progress measurement, forecasting, and what-if analysis.
- Prepare schedule reports and communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation plans.
- Support change management, baseline updates, and project controls activities.
- Connect schedule status with actual project execution and drive appropriate actions.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience using Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
- Strong experience in Scheduling, Planning, Tracking, and Reporting.
- Experience with 1,500+ activities/tasks and complex schedule logic.
- Knowledge of WBS, resource management, cost estimation, risk analysis, critical path, and progress measurement.
- Ability to assess project status, identify schedule risks/opportunities, and link schedules to actual execution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with Power BI, SAP, Microsoft Project, or similar systems.
- Experience in nuclear, power generation, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with EPC/EPCM projects and earned value management.
- PMP, PSP, or AACE certification is an asset.
Pay rate: CAD 70/hr
