Rate: $65.00/hr Inc.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a complex, client-facing SharePoint Migration and Microsoft 365 transformation initiative in Calgary.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, technical teams, and client stakeholders, the Business Analyst will play a key role in gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping processes, supporting content and migration decisions, coordinating testing, and ensuring business stakeholders are prepared for migration and transition activities. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and facilitator who can translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and effectively navigate a complex enterprise project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager, technical teams, business owners, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, content, process, security, and compliance requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to determine which content should be migrated, archived, updated, or retired.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, discovery sessions, and working meetings.
- Document business processes, business rules, user stories, data mappings, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Support migration discovery, planning, execution, validation, transition, and stabilization activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, business validation, defect tracking, and resolution.
- Track requirements, decisions, issues, defects, risks, dependencies, and business approvals/sign-offs.
- Ensure business owners understand required actions, timelines, impacts, and accountabilities.
- Support cutover, transition, handover, and post-migration validation activities.
- Identify requirements gaps, risks, and dependencies early and provide practical recommendations.
- Maintain clear and accurate project documentation and ensure information is communicated effectively to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting complex, client-facing technology projects.

- Comfortable working in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities.
Strongly Preferred
Candidates with experience in SharePoint migration and/or Microsoft 365 transformation projects are strongly preferred.
