Plum Gas Solutions is looking for an experienced Operator who is ready to take ownership of high-pressure field operations and help keep critical equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to work with equipment, solve problems in real time, and set the tone for a safe, professional jobsite. You’ll play a key part in keeping FAS units, work trucks, tools, and work areas operating at the highest standard - from rig-in through rig-out and every shift in between.
Job description
A Plum Gas Solutions Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of our company units and support equipment in the field, ensuring all work meets company and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a strong safety culture and professional relationships with vendors and contractors.
Responsibilities
Operational Performance
- Daily maintenance and housekeeping of the units and work truck
- Follow rig in and rig out procedure and complete the daily checklist
- Follow and perform PJHA and shift inspections
- Ensure all equipment and tools are accounted for prior to rig in and after rig out
- Conduct pre-job and post-job inspections on unit and truck
- Conduct general maintenance and PMs on FAS units
- Ensure that all repairs and PMs are completed according to the manufacturers and FAS specification and guidelines
- Ensure the FAS unit and work area are clean after each shift
- Ensure all work conforms to FAS policies
- Ensure daily fuel reports are done on time and correctly
Safety
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Report on all safety incidents to manager
- Follow all safety procedures and policy with no exceptions
- Complete daily checklist and PJHA
- Complete Journey Management and Hazard ID’s monthly
- Participate in all safety meetings (field and monthly)
- Perform daily operator inspection and checklist
- Complete site documentation properly
- Complete cross shift notes and documentation
Customer Service
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with other vendors and consultants
- Be proactive and self-motivated in daily duties and when directing contractors
- Contribute to a healthy work environment by being a team player
Required Education and Experience
- 2+ years of Oil & Gas experience
- Competent mechanical aptitude, and understanding of tools
- Clear and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must have reliable transportation and class 5 driver’s license
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in an Operator position
- Experience with high pressure gas equipment, heavy commercial equipment
- Experience in a team setting
- Basic mentorship experience
Work Environment
- Must be able to adapt to different working conditions and environments, including extreme weather and varying terrain
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Physical stamina
Travel Required
- 75% (2–3-week jobs in camp at a time)
