Job Summary
The Supervisor, Airworthiness supports regulatory compliance and airworthiness integrity across the fleet. This role manages critical regulatory reporting, controls aircraft certificates, and supports major operational and airworthiness initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Fleet Support
- Manage and control all essential Aircraft Certificates, including Certificates of Airworthiness (C of A), Certificates of Registration (C of R), Radio Station Licenses, and Insurance documentation.
- Prepare and submit Annual Airworthiness Information Reports (AAIRs) to Transport Canada.
- Manage the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) extension program and prepare Special Flight Permit (SFP) documentation for approval.
- Conduct comprehensive regulatory reviews and present findings to the Director, Regulatory Compliance & Training.
- Provide research and documentation support for advanced operational capabilities and regulatory ventures (e.g., RNP AR, ETOPS, MEL Extensions).
Airworthiness, Technical Documentation & AMOS Management
- Upload Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other critical continuing airworthiness documentation into AMOS.
- Oversee the control, updating, and publication of internal manuals, including the MPM and MCM in support of the PRM and Director, Regulatory Compliance & Training.
- Review proposed changes to Detailed Procedure Documents (DPDs) and Maintenance Quality (MQ) Forms to guarantee ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Maintain listings of station capabilities and scope of work.
Reliability, Safety & Incident Investigation
- Actively participate in Reliability Meetings and Maintenance Review Board (MRB) meetings to support fleet health, program reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs) to Transport Canada and liaise with OEMs and the Principal Maintenance Inspector (PMI) as required.
- Investigate SMS hazards, occurrences, and incidents relevant to Technical Operations.
- Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in the Safety Management System (SMS), adhering to company safety policies, and encouraging hazard reporting across the team.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the Potable Water Management Program, monitoring testing results and alerting operations to any abnormalities requiring corrective action.
- Act as a point of contact to provide regulatory guidance to Maintenance Operations Control and other Technical Operations team members.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in aviation technical operations, airworthiness, or regulatory compliance, with prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Software: Hands-on experience using AMOS (or similar AMO maintenance software) for managing technical publications, AD/SB tracking, and record control.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), and FAA/EASA alignment.
- Programs & Meetings: Background in evaluating ADs/SBs, supporting MEL programs, and participating in technical Reliability / MRB forums.
- Safety Management: Practical experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and root-cause hazard investigations.
- Communication: Strong technical writing skills with the ability to liaise effectively with regulatory inspectors, OEMs, and executive leadership.
