We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated teacher to join our team at East River Colony School in a full-time position commencing August 26, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Alberta curriculum to students in Kindergarten through Grade 9 within a multi-grade classroom setting. East River Colony is located just west of Rumsey, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students across a range of ages and abilities while creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, personal growth, and a lifelong love of learning. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective teaching strategies, the ability to integrate technology into learning, and excellent communication skills.
Candidates should have training and experience in English as a Second Language (ESL) and be comfortable teaching multiple grades and subject areas. The ability to differentiate instruction, foster student success, and provide strong classroom management will be essential in this role.
Experience teaching in a Hutterite Colony school setting would be considered an asset. We are looking for a flexible, collaborative educator who is committed to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and the school community.
