Build a Territory. Win Business. Grow Your Career.
Prime Material Handling is looking for a driven Account Manager who wants to build a successful career in equipment sales. This isn't a desk job. We're looking for someone who wants to get in front of customers, chase opportunities, build relationships, win deals, and grow their territory. Based out of our Dartmouth head office, you'll be backed by one of the strongest equipment, rental, parts, and service operations in Atlantic Canada. We'll give you the products, training, support, and customer base. What you do with the opportunity is up to you.
The Opportunity
Prime represents some of the leading equipment brands in the industry, offering forklifts, warehouse equipment, telehandlers, rentals, parts, service, and more. Your job is to grow the business. Develop new accounts, grow existing customers, find opportunities our competitors are missing, and become the person your customers call when they need equipment or advice. The earning potential is significant for someone who performs. The more you sell, the more you earn.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build, manage, and grow your own sales territory.
- Prospect for new customers and actively pursue new business.
- Grow existing accounts across equipment, rentals, parts, and service.
- Build strong relationships with business owners and decision makers.
- Understand your customers' operations and recommend the right equipment solutions.
- Stay on top of your market, competitors, and opportunities.
- Build a strong pipeline, negotiate deals, and close business.
- Meet and exceed your sales targets.
- Work with our Parts, Service, Rental, and Operations teams to deliver to your customers after the sale.
Who We Want
We're looking for someone competitive, motivated, and hungry to succeed. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a new business, meeting customers, and creating opportunities. You don't need to be an equipment expert. We can teach you the equipment. What we can't teach is drive.
Ideally, You Bring
- 2 to 5 years of sales experience.
- B2B, industrial, automotive, construction, or equipment sales experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Confidence in dealing with business owners and decision makers.
- A competitive personality and desire to achieve results.
- The ability to work independently and manage your territory.
- A willingness to prospect and develop new business.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to a long-term sales career.
Why Prime?
- Uncapped earning potential. The more you sell, the more you earn.
- An established customer base with significant room to grow.
- Leading equipment brands and a broad product offering.
- One of Atlantic Canada's strongest service and support networks behind you.
- A family-owned company that makes decisions quickly.
- Training, support, and real opportunities for advancement.
- A sales culture that recognizes and rewards performance.
