Change Management Analyst
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Work Arrangement: Onsite – 5 days per week
Duration: 5 months
Hours: 36.25 hours/week
Potential Extension: Up to 18 months
Position Overview
We are seeking a Change Management Analyst to provide hands-on change management support for a complex transformation initiative.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing practical change management deliverables, facilitating stakeholder engagements, supporting training and communications, and helping impacted stakeholders prepare for implementation and adoption.
This is a delivery-focused role, not an advisory-only position. The successful candidate should be comfortable creating change artifacts, facilitating sessions and actively supporting implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute change management deliverables supporting business, process and system transformation.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder and impact assessments, readiness materials, communication materials, presentations, training content, job aids, FAQs and quick-reference guides.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, working groups, alignment sessions, demonstrations, walkthroughs and information sessions.
- Support stakeholder and supplier engagement, onboarding, training, readiness and adoption.
- Work with project, business, operational and supplier stakeholders to gather information and identify impacts.
- Translate complex project changes into clear and practical materials for different audiences.
- Develop and coordinate training and user-support materials.
- Support change impact assessment, readiness, transition planning, pilot/phased rollout, implementation and post-implementation adoption.
- Track change activities, deliverables, risks, issues and dependencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of direct change facilitation experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing change management deliverables, including:
- Change Strategy and Plans
- Training Strategy and Plans
- Stakeholder Impact Assessments
- Communication Strategy and Plans
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing effective stakeholder communication materials.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently execute change management activities and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- PROSCI or CCMP certification.
- 3+ years developing and delivering training materials, documentation, computer-based training modules or training videos.
- 3+ years of experience developing readiness programs, training or stakeholder engagement activities.
- 2+ years of requirements-gathering experience using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases/scenarios or business process modeling.
- 3+ years of experience working on digital transformation initiatives within the Government of Alberta.
- Experience with supplier enablement and adoption activities.
