Branch Administrator
Position Summary
The primary role of the Branch Administrator is to assist both the Branch Manager (BM) and Branch Compliance Supervisor (BCS) and ensure the Raymond James office is managed efficiently and effectively. The Branch Administrator plays a critical role in leading day-to-day branch operations, delivering a high level of service to advisors, and driving the effective execution of the branch's operational and administrative functions.
This position is a key operational leader within the branch, championing process excellence, accountability, and regulatory adherence. By providing guidance, driving operational efficiencies, and proactively addressing business challenges, the Branch Administrator strengthens branch performance, mitigates risk, and supports the achievement of strategic business objectives while fostering a culture of compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Branch Administrator – Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for branch operational policies, procedures, and administrative support for advisors and support staff;
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors, including Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and other service providers, on behalf of the branch;
- Coordinate and process branch documentation, including overrides, payroll and HR forms, employee expense submissions, tuition approvals, branch expenses, and branding requests;
- Onboard and train new support staff on workstation applications, systems, and branch processes;
- Assist with the planning and coordination of branch events and initiatives;
- Organize, prepare, and facilitate regular support staff meetings;
- Participate in monthly National Branch Administrator calls and communicate key updates, changes, and action items to branch staff;
- Lead bi-monthly Sales Assistant meetings to share operational updates, process changes, and information from National Branch Administrator calls;
- Develop, maintain, and monitor records, reports, and operational controls to support the Branch Manager and ensure efficient branch operations;
- Stay current on policies, procedures, systems, and industry requirements through ongoing training and professional development, while sharing knowledge and best practices with staff and peers;
- Provide backup reception coverage as needed, and assist with cheque processing, printing, and deposit activities as required; and
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What do we expect from you?
- Knowledge of fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications;
- Client service, decision making, and problem solving;
- Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
- Assist others with flexibility and willingness as required; and
- Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years in the Investment Brokerage or Financial Services Industry;
- Diploma or degree or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training; and
- Previous supervisory or management experience is an asset.
Licenses/Certifications
- IR licensed, or willingness to complete within 12 months of hire.

Salary Range: $60,000 - 80,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
