As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll create exceptional experiences for both candidates and employees while making a meaningful impact across the organization. Leveraging your organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and relationship-building strengths, you'll work closely with HR Business Partners, leaders, employees, and candidates to advance people initiatives, strengthen our employer brand, and help bring our culture to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and triage the HR inbox, providing timely service and escalating matters appropriately.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves, and terminations.
- Administer and support Dayforce, employee records, reporting, and workflows while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare employment letters, reports, communications, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, participate in screening and interview processes, assessments, reference and background checks, and offer preparation.
- Create a positive candidate experience through proactive communication and timely updates.
- Coordinate new hire documentation, welcome materials, and ongoing support for new employees.
- Deliver engaging orientation sessions that help new employees feel welcomed, informed, and set up for success.
- Support offboarding and other employee transitions with accurate documentation, effective communication, and care.
- Coordinate people-focused programs and initiatives that support employee engagement, development and inclusion.
- Maintain HR SharePoint resources and communications that keep employees informed and connected.
- Support employee learning and development through LMS administration, training records, and reporting.
- Prepare workforce metrics, reports, and dashboards for operational and strategic decisions.
- Contribute to innovative HR solutions that improve processes, systems, and the employee experience.
- Provide backup to the Payroll & Benefits Partner.
What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to three years of progressive experience in HR, talent acquisition, coordination, or a related role.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, HR administration, and HRIS management; Dayforce experience is preferred.
- Knowledge employment legislation and best HR practices, employment legislation
- Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and time management, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine commitment to building relationships and delivering exceptional employee and candidate experiences.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity, professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology; Dayforce, SharePoint, LMS, and workforce analytics experience is an asset.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle access.
