About the Opportunity
Remote People is partnering with a large, respected national law firm to find a Litigation Support Specialist for its Vancouver office, supporting the Disputes, Construction, and Commercial practice. This role coordinates workflow across document production, file management, and administrative functions, with direct exposure to litigation matters.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain lawyer calendars, proactively flagging upcoming meetings
- Arrange meetings, book rooms, coordinate logistics, and liaise with attendees
- Coordinate travel bookings through support teams
- Oversee photocopying, printing, courier coordination, and correspondence distribution
- Manage file opening/closing and general recordkeeping
- Support marketing activities, including pitch and presentation preparation
- Handle internal and external phone inquiries and ensure timely message routing
- Monitor mail/email and redirect client correspondence appropriately
- Liaise with support departments and coordinate absence coverage
- Maintain and update client contact details in the firm's CRM
- Handle routine client queries and coordinate client meetings
- Review and lightly edit documents, correspondence, and presentations before lawyer review
- Type urgent, short, or confidential correspondence
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets as needed
- Support time entry, billing, and credit control processes
- Process cheque requests, bank transfers, and incoming payments
What You Bring
- Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited program
- 3-5 years of experience in a legal administrative role
- Solid understanding of civil litigation, including court filing/service procedures
- Typing speed of approximately 60 WPM
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with legal research tools
- Experience with legal practice management systems an asset
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Calm under pressure, with strong initiative and follow-through
- Approachable, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
Compensation: $55,000–$85,000, depending on experience and other factors
