Role Description The Project Engineering Intern is a full-time, hybrid role based in Canada, combining on-site work in Winnipeg and remote tasks when appropriate. The intern will support project engineers and managers with day-to-day activities such as assisting in project planning, tracking schedules, and preparing technical documentation and reports. Responsibilities include helping coordinate design information, reviewing drawings and specifications, supporting BIM/VDC activities, and contributing to quality and safety documentation. The intern will participate in meetings with internal teams, trades, and consultants, capturing action items and updating project logs. This role also involves performing basic site observations, gathering field data, and supporting communication between office and site teams to keep projects organized and progressing according to plan.

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to support clear collaboration with project teams, trades, and clients.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to assist with schedules, task tracking, and coordination.
- Candidates should possess Project Engineering skills to contribute to technical documentation, drawing reviews, and design coordination.
- Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering knowledge to support relevant building systems and project requirements.
- Enrollment in or completion of a diploma or degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or Construction Management is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
- Comfort with digital tools such as MS Office, project management software, and exposure to BIM/VDC platforms is an asset.
- Commitment to safety, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in both office and field settings.
