Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Solutions Architect V- Full Stack Solution Architect to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Job Responsibilities:- Play a key role in aligning internal and external stakeholders on the architecture / infrastructure aspect of the product strategy and delivery roadmap, communicating with and actively engaging with the Executive Product Owner in achieving the strategy
- Lead on architecture backlog prioritization activities, advising on business / technology trade-offs
- Oversee portfolio of Product-based Delivery Work
- Review, approve / veto blueprints relative to enterprise standards
- Advise on how best to design overall solutions
- Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement emerging end-to-end IT trends, developments and improvements / solutions (buy / build / reuse) through leadership of projects and contributing to segment-specific leadership committee insights focusing on overall operational steering for architecture
- Collaborate broadly with other practitioners, including marketing teams and engineers, to ensure the right look and necessary features for the products / projects and applications within assigned portfolio
- Actively engages with the Practice on upskilling and building team capability
- The role may oversee a small team, and is responsible for coaching on knowledge, skills and performance, building and evolving the practice's capabilities
- Steer the process and connects partners in the creation of consumable assets that leverage and integrate proven reference architecture designs and patterns to select from many methodologies and steer the team beyond the theoretical in order to get the architecture tested and into production
- Hold decision rights on Architecture-specific strategies and owns policies, roles and responsibilities within assigned Platform or Journey for the technology roadmap to ensure alignment with enterprise guidelines now and as the design evolves to meet future needs
- Oversee and advise on the design of technology applications and/or infrastructure on high profile, complex and/or high-risk technology projects with significant impact to the organization, playing an active role in the process of developing, customizing and integrating systems
- Drive continual upgrading based on an integrated perspective on existing gaps and opportunities for service / system development across the technology stacks and grounds the team in assessing practical concerns to evolve features
- The role may oversee a small team, and is responsible for coaching on knowledge, skills and performance, building and evolving the practice's capabilities
- Drive the end-to-end solution of Kubernetes in the organization and work with supporting teams to optimize the implementation of containers, to maximize consumption in the organization
- Lead AI architecture design for enterprise-grade GenAI and agentic AI solutions, including AI/LLM gateway patterns, agent orchestration, model access, RAG, MCP/tool integration, prompt management, safety controls, and governed API/data integration
- Define reusable AI reference architectures and decision frameworks that balance innovation, resiliency, security, privacy, cost transparency, model portability, and regulatory expectations for production AI workloads
- Set service-level objectives (SLO) and exercise key decision rights of the FSA role
- Focus on reliability, scalability, and the development of the architectural infrastructure, including highly complex and scalable systems
- Develops observability standards to ensure that production systems operate under known conditions and transparently provides these measurements to anticipate when errors or failures can arise
- Lead interaction with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory / operational risk, compliance and audit) to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues related to architectural technology and tools
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for significant and complex situations
- Monitor and report on the status of the products / projects and applications within assigned product, ensuring projects are compliant with technology domain architecture, and designs / operates processes to provide ongoing review of in-progress activity against technology architecture and development standards
- Foresee architectural issues / gaps and identifies emerging industry trends to recommend value-added architectural improvements that will alleviate technology debt and build resilient solutions
- Maps processes and sub-processes that bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions
- Keep track of changes made to code through control systems
- Collaborates within practices, platforms or journeys comprised of diverse and complementary skills, inspiring the team to embrace changes and continually advance collective knowledge of technical tools / trends
- Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
- Establish AI-specific governance patterns for model and agent usage, including authentication and authorization, prompt injection and jailbreak controls, sensitive data protection, content safety, audit logging, model routing, token limits, quota management, chargeback/showback, and operational monitoring
- Partner with risk, cyber security, data governance, privacy, compliance, cloud, and platform teams to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise standards for responsible AI, data classification, access control, explainability where applicable, observability, and resilience
- Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
- Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for quality engineering best practices and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
- Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques
- Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
- Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
- Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices, may take on the role of Chapter Lead as applicable
- Work collaboratively with the team and leadership to proactively identify and resolve issues related to product quality

- Accountable for setting the technical vision for significant parts of the company and oversees the work of other IT professionals as assigned on complex, highly-visible Architecture projects of significant profile, strategic importance, and enterprise impact to the Bank
- Responsible for strategic decisions for the Architecture practice within a platform or journey, escalating as appropriate
- Provides strategic leadership on high-impact initiatives, and drives innovation, often across multiple business unit
- Sets collaboration framework and create solution prototypes for providing Architecture advice and guidance to the product-based org
- Controls solution and development, regulatory and compliance for complex system landscapes (e.g., hybrid, multi-cloud, edge workloads)
- Acts as a principal AI architecture authority for complex GenAI, agentic AI, AI infrastructure, and AI platform initiatives, translating business outcomes into secure target-state architectures, reusable patterns, technical guardrails, and executable roadmaps
- Provides architectural leadership across AI model providers and platforms, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI/Gemini, AI gateways, vector search, knowledge stores, Kubernetes-based AI workloads, MLOps/AIOps tooling, and enterprise observability platforms
- Typically reports to the Architecture executive
Experience & Qualification Requirements:- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred)
- 15+ years relevant experience developing a variety of platforms
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and / or Test-Driven Development is an asset (i.e., ability to author Unit, Integration and Functional Tests)
- Demonstrated experience with leading technical tools integration in a complex environment
- Extensive hands-on architecture experience designing and delivering enterprise GenAI, LLM, and agentic AI solutions, including AI agents, AI/LLM gateways, RAG, vector search, prompt orchestration, MCP/tool integration, and model consumption patterns
- Deep understanding of AI platform architecture across cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI/Gemini, model routing, model lifecycle management, AI observability, evaluation, responsible AI guardrails, and vendor/platform trade-offs
- Intimate knowledge of AI services and capabilities, with specific experience designing for identity and access control, data protection, prompt/response safety, token and cost governance, semantic caching, fallback and resiliency, logging, tracing, auditability, and production supportability
- Relevant AI, cloud, architecture, security, or data certifications are preferred, including certifications or demonstrated experience in AI architecture, cloud architecture, responsible AI, MLOps, Kubernetes, API management, or enterprise architecture frameworks
