About the Role
RONCO Safety is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable / Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. In this role, you will manage and maintain financial records related to incoming payments, billing and other financial transactions. You will be responsible for accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and account reconciliations, while also supporting financial reporting and month-end and year-end activities. This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with numbers and can effectively manage multiple priorities while working with customers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
1) Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Prepare and issue invoices and credit notes to customers accurately and promptly in multiple currencies.
- Track incoming payments, apply them to the appropriate accounts and maintain accurate payment records.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and resolve discrepancies between customer accounts and payments.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers to support timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Address billing inquiries, resolve payment issues and maintain positive customer relationships.
2) Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for transactions, invoices and payments.
- Correctly identify, record and maintain schedules involving multiple currencies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including ageing reports, balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to help ensure financial information is complete and accurately recorded.
- Ensure financial processes are completed in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
3) Reconciliation & Cross-Functional Support
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to billing, collections and customer accounts in a timely manner.
- Work closely with internal departments, including Sales and Customer Care, to resolve payment and invoice-related issues.
- Maintain organized financial records while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Handle sensitive financial information with appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
What You’ll Bring
- An associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Experience with invoice processing, collections and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
- Basic knowledge of financial reporting and general accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and bookkeeping practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions.
- Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ability to accurately work with and maintain financial information in multiple currencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, vendors and internal teams regarding payments and billing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address billing, collection and customer account issues.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
