Title: Project Management Specialist
Location: Ottawa, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension
Client: Federal Client
Pay Rate: $90 - $100/hr [CAD]
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project management expertise for all project activities by working with internal and external stakeholders, project team members and groups across the Bank using proven project management best practices and methodologies
- Coordinate the overall implementation of new supervisory mandate, including developing, maintaining, and evolving integrated work plans, schedules, and delivery strategies
- Drive the planning and execution of project workstreams across policy, operations, and technology
- Coordinate business activities related to the technology workstream and work closely with the IT Program Lead during planning, solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operational support
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined scope and work plans within established quality standards and timelines
- Shape delivery reporting, performance indicators, and escalation mechanisms to support timely and informed decision‑making
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to proactively identify delivery risks and develop viable mitigation strategies
- Provide regular project status updates on progress and value delivery to senior management and/or the sponsor/client
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed, including all related documentation and processes
- Support go‑live readiness activities and implementation hand‑offs for assigned workstreams, ensuring operational, supervisory, and technical readiness criteria are met

Relevant Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience contributing to large, complex, multi-year projects involving more than 40 project team members and managing multiple concurrent initiatives across policy, business process, operational, and technology domains
- A minimum of four (4) years of recent demonstrated project management experience supporting complex business and technology initiatives
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience delivering strategic projects using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery methodologies
- Demonstrated experience identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies
- Demonstrated experience producing clear, concise and professional documentation for both senior leadership and technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to achieve consensus, resolve issues, and advance project objectives
- Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and managing integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud-based solutions and services, gained through experience supporting or participating in Azure technology implementation projects.
Education and Certifications
- University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, or business analysis
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
