The Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) is an independent agency that develops and administers property assessment policy for the province, and provides property appraisal services to over 750 of Saskatchewan’s urban and rural municipalities.
Position Overview:
Located in our Central Office in Regina, SK, the successful candidate will join SAMA’s Information Services Division as a Developer in this permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Solution Delivery & Application Development, the Developer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing development, enhancement and maintenance services for the Agency’s custom and commercial applications.
- Providing application support and technical assistance for the Agency’s various computer application systems.
- Providing custom reports and data extracts.
- Providing end user support.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- University degree in a related field or;
- Diploma in business information systems and two (2) years experience;
- Demonstrated software skills using C#, Visual Basic, current .Net framework, Python, SQL, and SSRS reports.
- Working knowledge of GIS systems and mapping software including ESRI ArcGIS products.
- Good problem-solving skills, time management, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
