Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator provides day-to-day tactical support for the Centre's marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach activities. The Coordinator is responsible for executing communications plans, supporting internal communications initiatives, maintaining digital communication channels, coordinating events and activations, and managing departmental administrative functions.
A key focus of this role is supporting employee communications through the development and maintenance of SharePoint pages, staff newsletters, digital signage content, internal collateral, and other communication tools that keep staff informed and engaged. The Coordinator works closely with internal stakeholders across the organization to gather information, identify communication needs, and support the successful implementation of projects and campaigns.
This position also provides marketing coordination support, including maintaining physician and stakeholder databases, assisting with campaign execution, supporting community and physician engagement initiatives, coordinating vendors and timelines, recruiting participants for events, and helping to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
This is a hands-on, tactical role suited to an early-career marketing and communications professional seeking to build experience in healthcare communications and marketing. The role is approximately 80% execution, coordination and 20% campaign support.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Internal Communications:
- Develop, publish and maintain SharePoint pages and internal communication resources.
- Prepare and distribute employee newsletters, announcements and organizational updates.
- Support the development and maintenance of digital signage content throughout the Centre.
- Gather information and requirements from internal stakeholders to support communication initiatives.
- Assist with internal engagement activities and staff communication campaigns.
- Develop basic copy for internal communications, presentations, posters, and other organizational materials.
Marketing Support:
- Coordinate implementation of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Maintain physician, stakeholder and contact databases.
- Assist with campaign tracking, reporting and administrative support.
- Coordinate production schedules, timelines and deliverables with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Update website content and support content management activities.
- Assist with social media content scheduling and publishing.
- Other support as required by the Director of Marketing
Events & Community Engagement:
- Coordinate logistics for events, sponsorships and community outreach activities.
- Recruit physicians, participants, volunteers and attendees for events and engagement activities.
- Manage event registration lists and communications.
- Support on-site event execution.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain project plans, trackers and communication calendars.
- Prepare meeting notes and action items.
- Support invoice tracking and vendor coordination.
- Assist the Director with departmental projects and priorities.
Corporate Responsibilities:

Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Schroeder Ambulatory Centre Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, community engagement or a related role.
- Experience developing content for newsletters, websites, intranets or social media platforms.
- Experience coordinating projects, events or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Healthcare or non-profit experience considered an asset.
