The Role
Reporting to the Director, Brand and External Communications, this role is responsible for creating compelling, audience-focused content across marketing and brand channels while ensuring consistency, quality and alignment with Seequent’s brand voice. You will help scale content creation through expert copywriting, editorial oversight and responsible use of AI-powered tools.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Create persuasive copy for campaigns, web, digital, email, social, paid media and other customer touchpoints.
- Develop high-performing advertising copy, headlines, calls-to-action and channel-specific messaging.
- Partner with designers, marketers and subject matter experts to bring creative concepts to life.
- Produce content across text, image, video and audio formats, including scripts, captions and short-form social content.
- Optimise web and landing page content to improve engagement, conversion and search visibility.
- Review and edit external-facing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, accessibility and brand consistency.
- Support customer storytelling, technical content and long-form assets that simplify complex topics.
- Leverage approved AI tools to accelerate content creation while maintaining editorial quality and brand standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through performance insights, content testing and emerging content, AI and SEO trends.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have
- A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, professional writing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in brand, marketing or creative copywriting, supported by a strong portfolio of digital, social and long-form content.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for tone, structure, grammar and detail.
- Experience working in a fast-paced in-house brand team, creative agency or similar marketing environment.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and familiarity with content management, optimisation and digital marketing tools.
- Confidence using generative AI tools and workflows, coupled with strong editorial judgement and human oversight.
- Ability to translate technical or specialised subject matter into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and present creative recommendations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a global environment.
Additional Information
Work Mode: Hybrid
The role works primarily during standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to collaborate with stakeholders, customers or partners in other time zones and to support priority events or launches. Travel may be required from time to time.
