Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid work. This means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office on a scheduled rotation.

As a Claims Construction Specialist, you’ll inspect properties, assess damage, and develop accurate repair scopes and estimates. You’ll support adjusters on complex losses, provide expert guidance, and ensure work aligns with building codes and industry standards - all within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

- Bring strong knowledge of building construction, inspections, and repair methods, with experience developing estimates and scopes of work for property claims.

- Have the ability to analyze damage, interpret building codes and bylaws, and provide clear, practical recommendations.

Typically, these skills are gained through a two-year diploma in a relevant field of study such as Architectural Technologies, Building Science Technology, or Engineering Technology, and 6 – 8 years of job-related experience in building construction, inspection, or estimating. The successful candidate will also be required to have a valid driver's licence.
The following additional certifications would be considered beneficial to the role:
- Water Damage Restoration Technician Certification
- Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician Certification
- Level 1 Thermography Certification
- Applied Structural Drying Certification
- HAAG Roof Inspector Certification (Residential & Commercial)

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Effort and Environment: Moderate physical effort which may include regularly climbing ladders or regularly lifting medium weight objects. Frequent exposure to unpleasant conditions which may include noise, noxious odours or inclement weather. Frequent driving within city limits and/or long-distance highway driving.
Sensory Attention: Moderate periods of concentration on a variety of sensory inputs requiring close attention several times daily.
Mental Stress: Moderate exposure to one or more mental pressures. Overnight travel is required (5%).
