About the Opportunity
Skyline Recruitment is supporting a well-funded mining and exploration company with the appointment of Project Geologists to join a high-profile exploration project in Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for geologists looking to join an active, well-supported exploration program with significant drilling activity and strong long-term potential.
The role will be based on a FIFO / camp rotation and will involve hands-on responsibility across core logging, geological interpretation, sampling, QA/QC, and day-to-day support of active exploration programs.
We are interested in speaking with geologists who enjoy being close to the geology, working within fast-paced drill programs, and taking ownership of high-quality technical work in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete detailed geological and geotechnical core logging
- Support active diamond drilling programs
- Select and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
- Maintain strong QA/QC standards across sampling and geological data
- Review and validate geological information and drilling data
- Assist with geological interpretation and ongoing model development
- Ensure geological databases and records are accurate and up to date
- Work closely with senior geologists, exploration management, drill contractors, and field teams
- Support drill targeting and ongoing exploration planning where appropriate
- Contribute to technical reporting and project documentation
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional experience within mineral exploration or mining
- Strong core logging and geological interpretation experience
- Experience working with diamond drilling programs
- Good understanding of sampling procedures and QA/QC
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality geological records
- Comfortable working in a remote camp environment on a rotational schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Gold exploration experience would be highly advantageous
- Experience working on Canadian hard-rock exploration projects would be beneficial
