Senior Accountant – Assurance & Compilation | CPA Firm
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Salary: $60,000–$120,000, depending on experience and level
Employment Type: Full-Time
Level: Senior preferred; strong Associate and Manager-level candidates also considered
CPA: CPA designated or actively pursuing CPA considered
Start Date: Candidates available to start this year are welcome
The Opportunity
We are partnering with an established CPA firm in Ottawa that is looking to strengthen its team with an accounting professional who brings experience in assurance, compilation and/or public accounting.
The firm is open-minded regarding seniority and will consider candidates from Associate through Senior and Manager level, although the most immediate requirement is for an experienced Senior Accountant.
This could be particularly attractive to someone currently working within public accounting who is looking for their next step with an Ottawa-based CPA firm and wants continued exposure to assurance, compilation and accounting engagements.
What They’re Looking For
The firm is interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:
- Assurance engagements
- Compilation engagements
- Financial statement preparation
- General accounting and year-end work
- Working directly with clients within a public accounting environment
- Reviewing or supporting engagement files appropriate to your level
- Managing multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, where applicable
Qualifications
A CPA designation is not mandatory. The firm will consider both fully designated CPAs and candidates who are currently pursuing their CPA.
Previous experience within a CPA/public accounting firm and exposure to assurance, compilation and/or accounting work will be highly relevant.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range is $60,000–$120,000, with the appropriate package determined by the candidate’s experience, qualifications and level.
The firm is open to considering candidates who are available to make a move this year.
