We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a new enterprise content management and digital experience platform for a leading financial services organization.
The platform uses Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Edge Delivery Services to deliver public-facing web experiences. This role will focus on CDN and edge reliability, web performance, production support, monitoring, release management, and operational resilience.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with enterprise CDN platforms, web application security, performance monitoring, and production incident management in a high-traffic web environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor CDN and edge configurations, including caching, cache invalidation, DNS, TLS certificates, and origin settings.
- Support Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration, bot management, and web security controls.
- Build and maintain synthetic monitoring, automated smoke tests, and production health checks.
- Lead incident response and troubleshoot customer-facing website issues.
- Coordinate technical escalations with Adobe and other third-party service providers.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, Git-based deployments, release controls, and rollback procedures.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and test restoration of content sources, repositories, and CDN configurations.
- Monitor website performance using Core Web Vitals, Real User Monitoring (RUM), CDN logs, and synthetic monitoring.
- Identify and resolve performance issues related to JavaScript, third-party scripts, and web integrations.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs), availability targets, and performance metrics.
- Maintain operational documentation, audit evidence, access controls, and compliance records.
- Work with development, security, network, production support, and business teams to improve platform reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise CDN platforms, including caching, origin configuration, edge logic, DNS, TLS, and cache invalidation.
- Experience with Akamai, Cloudflare, or similar CDN technologies.
- Practical experience with WAF configuration, security rule tuning, and bot management.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, synthetic testing, and real-user performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of web performance engineering, Core Web Vitals, browser rendering, and JavaScript performance.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration as code.
- Experience managing production incidents, root cause analysis, and service reliability.
- Understanding of change management, disaster recovery, audit controls, and operational risk in an enterprise environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), particularly Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
- Experience working with SaaS or vendor-managed platforms.
- Background in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Experience with SIEM integrations and centralized log management.
- Scripting experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of website accessibility and SEO.
- Experience supporting English and French digital experiences.
Important Note
This role focuses on CDN, edge delivery, web performance, and reliability engineering. It does not involve traditional server administration, operating system patching, container orchestration, or database administration.
