Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of a global, project-based supply chain operation. This role is ideal for a leader who can step back and assess how the department should function, build the processes and systems needed to support the business, and then get into the details to solve execution challenges when required. Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Execution, the Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the COO, Directors, Engineering, Operations, IT, Strategic Procurement, and global manufacturing partners to develop a scalable supply chain model that supports a complex project portfolio. With operations spanning multiple geographies and a strong manufacturing focus, this individual will bring the commercial awareness, operational discipline, systems expertise, and leadership capability to build a high-performing supply chain organization for today and the future. If this sounds like you, please apply directly or send your resume to info@stellar-recruitment.com.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for how the supply chain department operates, including organizational structure, processes, systems, governance, KPIs, and accountability. Partner with the COO, Directors, and senior leadership to align supply chain capabilities with the company's global growth strategy, project portfolio, manufacturing requirements, and long-term business objectives.
- Own end-to-end supply execution across a complex, project-based manufacturing portfolio, ensuring material availability, procurement, planning, supplier performance, and delivery remain aligned with project schedules. Lead teams through day-to-day execution while personally engaging in critical issues, escalations, and problem-solving when required.
- Connect project requirements, engineering, demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, and outsourced production into a cohesive operating model. Lead master planning, key component planning, constraint management, and S&OP while ensuring plans translate into executable purchasing and production activities across global operations.
- Act as the Supply Chain SME and strategic owner of ERP/MRP capabilities, assessing how current systems and processes support the business and identifying opportunities to improve them. Partner with IT and senior leadership to establish a future-state roadmap, address legacy system limitations, improve data integrity, and drive standardization, automation, and process simplification across the global supply chain.
- Develop strong operational interfaces with suppliers and outsourced manufacturing partners across multiple geographies. Establish clear accountability for delivery, capacity, quality, responsiveness, and issue resolution while ensuring supplier execution supports project requirements and aligns with broader strategic procurement strategies.
- Lead, develop, and performance-manage Project Buyers, Manufacturing Buyers, Master Planners, and Planners (currently team of 6). Establish clear roles, processes, KPIs, and accountability while developing a culture of continuous improvement, LEAN thinking, structured problem-solving, and strong daily execution. Balance strategic leadership with a willingness to get into the details when the business requires it.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, ideally within a global manufacturing environment with a complex, project-based portfolio and multiple concurrent customer or production programs.
- Strategic and operational leadership capability, with the ability to develop a supply chain strategy and operating model, communicate effectively with the COO and senior Directors, and then translate that strategy into practical processes and measurable execution.
- Strong ERP/MRP and supply chain transformation experience, including the ability to evaluate existing systems, identify process and data gaps, lead system improvements or transitions, and establish a scalable future-state supply chain environment.
- Experience operating across global supply chains, with exposure to international suppliers, outsourced manufacturing, multiple production locations, global logistics, and the complexities of coordinating supply and manufacturing across different regions.
- Hands-on manufacturing and project environment experience, with a strong understanding of how Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Project Execution need to work together to deliver projects successfully. Comfortable getting into the weeds to resolve issues rather than operating exclusively at a strategic level.
- Strong commercial, communication, and people leadership skills, with the ability to negotiate with suppliers, influence cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, develop high-performing teams, and communicate effectively from frontline operational teams through to executive leadership.
