Senior Robotics Engineer
Boston area; flexible but primarily on-site
We are looking for a senior robotics engineer to own major parts of the intelligence and control stack for robots performing complete manufacturing workflows. You will work across manipulation, controls, perception, planning, and the AI tools used to configure and improve robot behavior.
What You Will Do
Build manipulation and control capabilities for bimanual and mobile robots, including motion planning, force-aware control, grasping, reorientation, insertion, and tool use.
Develop perception and planning systems that combine cameras, force sensors, CAD models, and process information to adapt to new parts, fixtures, machines, and workflows.
Use modern AI models and development tools to shorten the path from operator demonstration to working robot behavior.
What We Are Looking For
Strong technical foundations across several of the following: manipulation, controls, motion planning, perception, state estimation, optimization, machine learning, and software engineering.
The ability to diagnose problems across planning, software, controls, sensing, hardware, and the physical environment.
Sound technical judgment under ambiguity, including deciding what should be learned, programmed, sensed, or solved mechanically.
Who this is for
Senior engineers with evidence of shipped robotic or cyber-physical systems, strong Python/C++ foundations, and clear technical judgment across learning, programming, sensing, and mechanics.
