Senior Content Designer - 12-Month Contract
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week + alternating Fridays
Contract: 12 months (with potential to extend and convert)

Hourly Pay:
T4: $58–62/hr
IC: $68–74/hr

What You’ll Do
- Create content for digital products and experiences, including UI copy, onboarding, notifications, error messages, guidance, and educational content.
- Partner with Product, UX, Research, Development, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Transform complex product concepts, requirements, and information into clear, actionable customer-facing content.
- Define content structure, hierarchy, terminology, messaging, and information organization.
- Use customer research, usability testing, and feedback to evaluate and improve content.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, design sprints, workshops, and working sessions.
- Use Figma and other content/design tools to develop, iterate, and document content solutions.
- Help maintain consistency across voice, tone, terminology, content patterns, and standards.
- Contribute to content governance, including documentation, approvals, prioritization, and ongoing updates.
- Partner with accessibility teams to ensure content follows plain-language and digital accessibility principles.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing experiences, user flows, and information architecture.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on customer needs and experience.
- Present content recommendations and decisions to stakeholders across different functions.
- Help evolve content design practices, standards, and quality expectations across the product organization.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or a closely related field.
- Strong experience creating content for digital products and customer-facing experiences.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma.
- Experience working within Agile product environments and collaborating with technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify gaps, questions, and opportunities early.
- Strong ability to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous problems through content strategy and precise language.
- Understanding of how content, structure, terminology, and language influence user comprehension and decision-making.
- Ability to make thoughtful language decisions based on audience, context, intent, and desired outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience designing conversational or system-generated experiences.
- Experience developing content standards, frameworks, or quality guidelines.
- Background creating educational or instructional content.
- Experience working with enterprise products and complex stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of WCAG and digital accessibility best practices.
