As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a Testing Technician to our Celo team.
Position Summary: The Test Technician is responsible for testing, verifying, and troubleshooting custom industrial electrical control panels to ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable certification requirements. This role validates panel functionality, completes required testing documentation, and supports the delivery of high-quality control systems through collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Verification and testing of fabricated control panels to ensure adherence to the design, including PLCs, motor controls, control circuits, and instrumentation.
- Completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) documentation.
- Correct mistakes or make minor alterations to panels being tested.
- Interpretation of customer requirements, project-related drawings, and specifications.
- Marking up of design drawings and related information to match the as-tested and verified panel.
- Manage shop testing, assembly, and safety equipment to ensure all certifications are maintained and current.
- Assist shop personnel with panel assembly, as required.
- Occasional Field work required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- 'M' license, Journeyperson Electrician or equivalent electrical certification as recognized by The Electricians' License Act of Manitoba would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with electrical controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize with a proven track record of working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
