Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
We are looking for a Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist with 10+ years of experience in enterprise-level software testing and large-scale IT environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, API testing, performance testing, and end-to-end quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Perform both manual and automated testing across complex enterprise applications.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman and automation using Selenium or similar frameworks.
- Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Ensure comprehensive testing coverage for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform AODA/accessibility testing and compliance.
- Work within Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, functional teams, and technical teams.
- Support QA compliance and security testing practices.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of software testing experience in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Extensive experience with AODA/accessibility testing and compliance.
- Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Experience with Selenium and/or Postman.
- Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect tracking tools.
- Strong experience with SQL and Oracle.
- Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
- Knowledge of QA compliance standards and security testing best practices.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous Ontario Public Service (OPS) or public-sector experience.
- Familiarity with OPS QA standards and practices.
