The client is seeking Junior Business Analysts to support its EHR Onboarding workstream and related digital health service access activities.The resources will support the onboarding and intake of healthcare organizations and clinician end users by reviewing documentation, validating health information, categorizing and mapping users to approved Health Information Custodian (HIC) types, and confirming legally responsible persons before migration to the Provincial Clinical Viewer and other digital health services. The role requires strong knowledge of the Ontario healthcare sector, PHIPA, Health Information Custodians and Agents, along with requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and process coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end onboarding and intake activities for EHR and digital health services.
- Review and validate submitted information, forms, and supporting documentation.
- Validate Health Information Custodian (HIC) and legal status using established processes.
- Categorize and map clinician end users to approved HIC types.
- Validate the legally responsible person before pre-approval and migration.
- Conduct requirements gathering and analyze onboarding and access requirements.
- Maintain accurate tracking of requests, issues, approvals, and status.
- Support stakeholder communications, follow-ups, and coordination.
- Prepare and maintain business documentation, presentations, briefing notes, and reports.
- Identify process gaps, risks, and issues and escalate them appropriately.
- Support process improvement and documentation activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and ensure key documentation and deliverables are shared with the Agency team.
Must-Haves
- Business Analysis experience in healthcare, onboarding, intake, validation, or process coordination
- Strong understanding of PHIPA principles, including consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of Personal Health Information (PHI)
- Knowledge of Health Information Custodians (HICs) and Agents under PHIPA
- Experience with requirements gathering and analysis
- Experience developing business documentation, presentations, briefing notes, and reports
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to validate information against defined rules
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a high-volume operational environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
