The Strategic Procurement Office is seeking a Change Management Analyst to provide hands-on change management support for a complex transformation initiative. This is a delivery-focused role for a resource who can develop and execute change management deliverables, lead stakeholder engagements, and support implementation readiness across the initiative.
This role is not intended to be a change strategy or advisory-only position. The successful candidate will work directly with project, business, operational, ministry, and supplier stakeholders to develop practical change materials and execute core change and supplier enablement activities required to support implementation.
Role Purpose
The Change Management Analyst will support the successful implementation of project changes by developing practical change management deliverables and leading engagement activities that prepare impacted stakeholders for transition.
The resource will be responsible for creating change materials, coordinating and facilitating sessions, and supporting readiness, communication, training, and adoption activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To:
- Develop and execute hands-on change management deliverables supporting business, process, and system transformation initiatives.
- Develop, review, and maintain practical change artifacts, including stakeholder and impact assessments, readiness materials, communications, engagement materials, presentations, training content, job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, and end-user support materials.
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder and supplier engagement activities, including working groups, workshops, alignment sessions, demonstrations, walkthroughs, and information sessions.
- Support supplier enablement activities, including supplier impact assessments, segmentation, communications, engagement, onboarding, training, readiness, and adoption support across relevant program workstreams.
- Work directly with project, business, operational, ministry, and supplier stakeholders to gather information, identify impacts, validate requirements, and translate complex project changes into clear, practical, audience-appropriate materials.
- Draft, review, and quality-check communications and change materials for leadership, business users, suppliers, and other impacted audiences, ensuring accuracy, consistency, plain language, and alignment with established program standards, templates, and messaging.
- Develop and coordinate training and user-support materials to prepare impacted stakeholders for new or changed business processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Support change impact assessments, stakeholder and supplier readiness, transition planning, pilot or phased rollouts, implementation, and post-implementation adoption activities.
- Coordinate and track change actions, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies while working within established program direction and priorities to ensure timely execution.
Qualifications Must Have
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of direct experience in change facilitation.
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing change management deliverables, including change strategies and related artifacts.
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing effective communication materials for stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
- PROSCI or CCMP certification.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing and delivering training materials, including supporting documentation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing readiness programs, training programs, or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Minimum 2 years of experience gathering requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, or similar techniques.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working within digital transformation initiatives at the Government of Alberta.
