The client is seeking an experienced Intermediate Front-End Software Developer to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain modern web applications. The successful candidate will work within Agile development teams and collaborate with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Translate business and technical requirements into tested, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services using Node.js and related technologies.
- Develop and maintain applications using Node.js, Next.js, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven.
- Perform unit testing, front-end testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and page-load optimization.
- Develop accessible applications compliant with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
- Collaborate with developers, IT professionals, business stakeholders, and SMEs throughout the SDLC.
- Work within Agile development environments, participate in code reviews and design walkthroughs, and meet project deadlines.
- Work with Oracle databases and SQL, including tables, views, sequences, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
Must-Haves
- 3+ year hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
- 3+ year Java development experience
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and Next.js
- Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
- Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS skills
- Experience with responsive web application development
- Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture
- Hands-on experience with front-end testing, debugging, and performance/page-load optimization
- Experience with Git/version control and Bitbucket
- Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and Maven
- 3+ year Oracle database experience with strong SQL skills
- Experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA compliance
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience working within large organizations / large development teams
- Current, hands-on software development experience
