Job Description
This is a unionized position with LiUNA Local 183 with union pension, benefits and wage.
We are seeking an experienced Mini-Excavator Operator with advanced experience (minimum 3 years within the past 5 years) operating Mini-Excavators to join our dynamic team at Telecon in Port Perry ON. In this role, transporting equipment to and from site will be mandatory and will require a valid AZ or ARZ license at time of hire. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and floating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support our telecom infrastructure projects. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Mini Excavators safely and according to project plans
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project tasks and timelines.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed during project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any issues to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mini ex operation on civil construction sites around utilities is essential.
- Valid AZ or ARZ license with a clean abstract required
- Strong attention to safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
