The Crossing Company – Light Rig Division (LRD) is growing, and we're looking for experienced, motivated, and safety-focused individuals to join our team. As one of North America's largest trenchless construction companies, our people are the reason we lead - and we're committed to helping you build a long, rewarding career in the field.
This is hands-on, physical work for people who take pride in putting in a hard day and backing up their crew. As a Roughneck on our HDD rigs, you'll be on the front line of pipeline construction projects across Western Canada - handling drill pipe and tooling, moving equipment, and doing the labour that keeps the rig turning. If you're dependable, safety-minded, and not afraid to work in any weather, we want you on our team.
What You'll Do
- Perform the physical, labour-intensive work of running an HDD rig
- Handle drill pipe, tooling, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the Driller and crew through every stage of the bore
- Keep the worksite clean, organized, and safe
- Work outdoors in all conditions, day or night
What We're Looking For
- A hard worker - this role is physically demanding, and we want people who thrive on that
- A strong commitment to safety - for yourself and everyone on your crew
- Reliability and a team-first attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain
- HDD or drilling rig experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required; Class 1 strongly preferred
- Safety tickets: SFA (Standard/Intermediate First Aid), H2S Alive, GDII, PCST, CSTS 2020
- 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, with rotations
- Willingness to travel to job sites across Western Canada
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing
