Reporting to the Sr Clinical Manager, Dentistry Department, the Program Coordinator will act as a subject matter expert and be responsible for supporting the Provincial Cleft Lip and Palate/Craniofacial (CLP/CF) Paymaster Dental Program for all included Dental program sites in Ontario enhancing the efficiencies and operations of the program.The Program Coordinator roles will apply professional experience, and customer service skills to successfully resolve escalations and support proactive continuous improvement and transformation.
The Program Coordinator will be the lead ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders in the Provincial CLP/CF program and in the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health (PCMCH). They will also participate on the Provincial CLP/CF Operational Advisory Committee (OAC).
Here's What You'll Get To Do
Guidance, Influence and Leadership
- Develop, train and coach program teams supported by MOH CLP/CF funding
- Partner with management to promote teamwork and collaboration by sharing best practices.
- Partner with Finance partners to ensure processes are being followed and raise any issues in a timely manner
- Act as the main contact for external and internal stakeholders on all Paymaster related matters
- Identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of processes and support the team through change management, learning and adapting new process.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures to meet a strong control environment.
- Promote a positive working climate to foster the development of team spirit and high morale.
- Assist team with preparing and maintaining current standard operating procedures.
- Participate on the CLP/CF OAC
Service Delivery and Operations
- Maintain SOPs and work instructions.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues.
- Resolve and support the team with any escalated inquiries in a timely manner.
- Process and prepare time sensitive and confidential invoices.
- Deliver on other assignments as required.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders on projects and other tasks as required.
Process Improvement
- Acting as the subject matter expert, you will be the lead on ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives within the Program
Here's What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years progressive dentistry related accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles
- Organized with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Self-starter and strong team player to learn from your leader and others and teach your peers and others.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision / direction
- Proficiency with MS Office applications with a focus on Excel is preferred
- Experience in report and data analysis is preferred.
- Experience in a health care setting required
