Principal Resource Geologist

Our client, a mining consulting firm, is looking for a Principal Resource Geologist in Toronto. As a Senior to Principal Consultant, you will lead mineral resource estimation, technical reporting, and due diligence reviews while contributing to multidisciplinary projects across a global consulting network. The role also offers opportunities to build client relationships, develop consulting expertise, and contribute to the growth of the broader business.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead mineral resource estimation, geological modelling, and geostatistical analysis for mining and exploration projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, resource estimates, and due diligence studies in accordance with NI 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, and other applicable standards.
- Develop and review 3D geological and resource models using modern modelling and resource estimation software.
- Provide technical expertise, including acting as a Qualified Person (QP), and deliver independent technical reviews and recommendations.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor junior consultants, and ensure high-quality technical deliverables.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, support business development, and represent the company on projects across Canada and internationally.
Who You Are:
- Degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of resource estimation experience.
- Professional registration with APGO or PEO, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Strong geostatistical, resource estimation, and 3D geological modelling skills; implicit modelling and conditional simulation experience are an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Consulting experience, mining industry networks, and client relationship skills, with the ability to contribute to business development.
- Proven ability to act as a Qualified Person (QP) or equivalent under NI 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, or similar standards, with a willingness to mentor junior staff and travel as required.
