Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid 3 days/week)
Duration: Contract - 6 months (Possible Extension)
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (Angular/React) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Angular (v10+), React, modern front-end engineering, and design system implementation and a proven ability to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance web applications and translate Figma designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Angular and React applications.
- Build reusable, modular, and performant UI components, services, and modules.
- Collaborate with Product and UX to translate Figma designs into accessible, high-quality user interfaces.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design-to-code workflows and prototyping.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and platform services.
- Ensure performance, responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
- Apply best practices for state management, security, and error handling.
- Participate in code reviews, design critiques, and Agile ceremonies.
- Adhere to Citi secure coding standards, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Support releases and troubleshoot production front-end issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of front-end or web development experience.
- Strong expertise in Angular (v10+) and React.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
- Experience translating Figma or similar design tool outputs into production UIs.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of web security principles including XSS, CSRF, and authentication flows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI-assisted UX/design-to-code tools and prototyping accelerators.
- Collaboration with globally distributed engineering and design teams.
