This course introduces students to concepts, problems and analysis related to the design, planning, control, and improvement of manufacturing and service operations. Topics such as information flow, operations strategy, product and process design, capacity planning, managing quality, managing inventory, forecasting methods, facilities planning and location decisions will be covered. Credit can only be counted for one of BA 3653 or INDT 3653.The minimum requirement for consideration is a Masters degree in a field relevant to the topic area or an undergraduate degree combined with a professional certification in an appropriate field.
