VMAC is seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you’ll be an important part of our People and Culture team, supporting coworkers and leaders across our fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
This role will be involved in many aspects of the coworker experience from recruitment and onboarding to training, engagement, employee support, and day-to-day HR operations. Reporting to the People and Culture Generalist, the successful candidate will build strong relationships across VMAC and help create a workplace where people feel supported.
As People and Culture Coordinator you will:
Recruiting and Onboarding:
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new coworkers.
Coworker Experience and Engagement:
- Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition activities.
- Support internal communications and culture-building efforts.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems.
Learning and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and manage learning resources.
- Support the implementation of development programs and performance reviews.
HR Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
Reception:
- Answering and transferring calls.
- Signing in guests.
- Ordering office supplies.
- Other duties as required.
What you bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources administration.
- Post-secondary education in human resources or related field.
- CPHR candidacy considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in HR functions such as benefits administration considered an asset.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships and work independently.
