Head of Music PR & Strategic Communications - Music Tech / DSP Platform
We are building a next-generation music technology platform and seeking a Head of Music PR & Strategic Communications to join the team.
We are looking for a proven PR professional with direct experience in music PR, entertainment media, podcast outreach, blog placements, artist campaigns, and music industry communications.
The ideal candidate has an existing network of podcasters, bloggers, music journalists, entertainment writers, YouTube commentators, creator-economy voices, and digital media contacts. This role is for someone who can help build public attention, secure meaningful press opportunities, and position the company as a serious new entrant in the music-tech and DSP space.
The platform is a very disruptive DSP, which has the potential to change the entire music economy.

Responsibilities
Build and execute the PR strategy from beta through launch.
Secure coverage with music blogs, podcasts, entertainment publications, and creator-economy media.
Develop press angles around music technology, artist economics, fan engagement, and platform innovation.
Create media lists and outreach campaigns.
Support founder visibility through interviews, podcasts, LinkedIn, Medium, and music business commentary.
Draft press releases, media pitches, founder bios, talking points, and announcement copy.
Build relationships with music journalists, podcasters, bloggers, influencers, and industry commentators.
Help shape public messaging while protecting confidential product details.
Work with the founder and team to plan PR around beta, launch, artist onboarding, strategic partnerships, and investor-facing milestones.
Requirements
Proven experience in music PR, entertainment PR, artist PR, label PR, or music-tech communications.
Existing network of music bloggers, podcasters, journalists, and entertainment media contacts.
Track record of securing press coverage, interviews, podcast bookings, or digital media placements.
Strong writing and storytelling ability.
Understanding of the music industry, streaming, artist monetization, fan engagement, and digital culture.
Ability to work in an early-stage startup environment.
Strong confidentiality and strategic judgment.
Comfortable helping build a company narrative before public launch.
