Responsibilities
Read blueprints and sketches, measure and prepare materials, and build or install structures and items such as frames, doors, stairs, flooring, drywall, furniture, and cabinets. Inspect sites, perform repairs and maintenance, and construct scaffolding and other construction structures.
Requirements
Requires five years of experience, a valid G license, working-at-heights qualification, and proficiency with carpentry tools, measurement equipment, and technical drawings. Applicants must have a high school diploma and have successfully completed a carpentry apprenticeship program; basic math, English and/or French proficiency, and good physical endurance are also required.
