Westerner Park is proud to host World Junior Hockey from December 26, 2026, to January 2, 2027, at the Marchant Crane Centrium. This exciting international event will bring world-class junior hockey to Red Deer and put our community on the international stage.
We are recruiting Bartenders to join our event team and help deliver an exceptional experience throughout this major event. These are temporary positions for approximately 10 days.

Position Overview
The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic drinks and food/snack items for guests at our Westerner Park events. The bartender's main job is to know the standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks, in accordance with established recipes and service standards.
Follow AGLC guidelines and Westerner Park procedures related to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, including monitoring consumption, refusing service when required, and supporting safe transportation options.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring and restocking alcoholic beverages, bar supplies, paper products, and other service items.
Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, equipment, counters, and service stations by completing regular cleaning and sanitizing duties throughout events.
