Wood currently has an opportunity for an Interface Manager to join our construction team in northern Saskatchewan.
This position is a fly-in/fly-out work rotation (14 x 14 -11 hours per day).

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage the Interface Management Plan to be used as a tool to liaise between the main departments (engineering, supply chain construction, and completions)
- Facilitate information flow between engineering, supply chain, construction and completions ensuring all parties are aligned and incorporate latest information into their workplans
- Ensure interfaces are identified and documented
- Identify, administer, and manage all Required on Site material and equipment dates for this project
- Act as liaison (point of contact) between engineering, supply chain, planning team, construction, completions and all key contractors on this project ensuring all communication between these parties are administered and managed properly
- Chair key meetings related to expected delivery dates/deadlines between all associated parties (engineering, supply chain, construction)
- Coordinate engineering requirements between site and engineering offices and ensure strong interaction with the engineering team
- Develop and maintain communication channels with clients, stake holders, and internal personnel to ensure that work flows smoothly and is delivered to customer’s expectations
- Responsible for interface documents, tasks, meetings, and reports
- Interface with the site contractor with respect to quality of work, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, design documents and schedules
- Respond to all technical queries on site and liaise with the home office design team
- Develop and maintain positive, sustainable client relationships
- Liaise with on site and off site vendors
- Serve as the project coordinator on a project; planning, managing and coordinating the project activities on large and/or technically complex portion of a project and/or serve in an individual contributor role in completing broadly defined and/or technically complex project assignments
- Clarify and provide guidance on scope items either by communication with client, experience with project site, knowledge of client systems, or physical investigation of site, and report findings back to design team
- Assist the Construction Manager in all aspects of project work
- Assist the Project Controls Manager in reporting of progress to client and preparation of change documentation
- Assist with development and maintenance of action logs showing decisions and information required to maintain schedule
- Participate in key discussions at site and with client, with respect to technical inquiries of scope clarification as well as progress reporting
- Develop, plan, evaluate and recommend solutions for difficult problems
- Review documentation for compliance with contract requirements, good engineering practices, codes, and standards
- Coordinate and interface with equipment suppliers

Expected:
- Engineering Degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years in a leadership position
- Ability to manage and influence without authority
- Ability to read and interpret schedules, plans and specifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent Technical communications skills written and spoken
- Engineering technologist diploma or graduate degree in related field is considered an asset
- At least 15-20 years of experience on large scale, heavy industrial projects in and EPCM environment
- AutoCAD and/or 3D design/drafting software capabilities is considered an asset
- Previous experience working with northern contractors in northern Saskatchewan is considered an asset
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
